Privacy Policy

Effective 1 January 2025. This page is the public copy of the same policy shown at sign-up. It explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to ask us to change or delete it.

1. Scope

Baize Mingdao processes personal data to run the charting and dialogue product. We treat birth data as sensitive: it is used to compute a chart, not as a public profile.

2. What we collect

You give us: email or phone, nickname; birth date, time, place and sex for charting; questions you type.

Devices give us: browser and OS, feature use, IP (security and coarse geo), cookies for session.

Payments: WeChat Pay, Alipay or Stripe handle cards. We store payment status and invoices, not card numbers.

3. Use

To compute charts and answers; to keep the account secure; to improve quality on anonymised transcripts; to prevent fraud; to answer support tickets; to meet the law. We do not sell or rent personal data.

4. Sharing

Hosting, payment processors and model providers under contract. Lawful demands. Safety against fraud or abuse.

5. Retention

Account fields: while the account exists plus 30 days after deletion. Chart inputs: while the account exists. Dialogues: up to 180 days then delete or anonymise. Payment records: as required (typically five years). Logs: 90 days.

6. Cross-border

Servers are in Hong Kong. Some model providers may process abroad under equivalent safeguards we require by contract.

7. Your rights

Access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, and withdrawal of consent (without undoing past lawful processing). We respond within 30 working days. Use the contact page, from the registered email.

8. Minors

The service is not for people under 18. If we learn a minor registered, we delete the data.

9. Security

HTTPS/TLS, access control, reviews. No system is perfectly safe; we do not guarantee the impossible.

10. Changes

Material changes are announced on the site and, for registered users, with 30 days’ notice. Continued use means the new policy applies.

Terms of Service

Effective 1 January 2025. Using the site means you have read these terms. If you do not agree, stop.

1. What this is

Baize Mingdao offers analysis that draws on traditional Chinese charting (BaZi, Zi Wei Dou Shu) and software. It is reference and study, not a forecast of events, not medical or psychological treatment, not legal, tax or investment advice. Model output can be wrong. Decisions and their consequences are yours.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18+ (or the age of contractual capacity where you live) and use the service lawfully.

3. Accounts

Keep credentials safe. You are responsible for activity under the account. We may suspend accounts used for fraud, abuse or breach.

4. Prohibited

Unlawful use; reverse engineering or interfering with systems; reselling our output; uploading harmful or infringing content; impersonation; bulk scraping.

5. Intellectual property

Software, design and original frameworks are ours. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service — not to copy it for a business.

6. Disclaimer

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for financial, opportunity, relationship or expectation losses. Our aggregate liability is capped at what you paid us in the previous 12 months.

7. Mental health

A chart is not a substitute for professional care. If you or someone you know is in crisis, seek emergency or mental-health services immediately. Mainland China helpline 400-161-9995; Hong Kong 2382 0000.

8. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong SAR. Negotiate first; then the courts of Hong Kong.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced. Continued use after they take effect is acceptance.

10. One-on-one consulting

Format. A one-on-one session runs over video call, 30 or 60 minutes; overtime is billed at US$75 per 15 minutes (US$50 for a first booking).

Price. 30-minute session: US$100 for the first booking, US$150 thereafter. 60-minute session: US$200 for the first booking, US$300 thereafter. All amounts are in US dollars.

Payment and rescheduling. Payment is taken up front to confirm the slot and is non-refundable once confirmed. You may reschedule once, free of charge, with 24 hours notice; a no-show is treated as service delivered.

Scope. Structural chart analysis and review. It is not medical, legal or investment advice, and it is not a crisis service.
